I have been neglecting this blog a lot. Hehehe. Forgive me. To start off, let me share you a weekend snapshot that I took of my husband and my daughter just this evening. I think they were doing a Michael Jackson rendition while waiting for our table. This is my hubby’s way of keeping my daughter occupied.

Can I just say that I am definitely looking forward to sleeping late tomorrow? It feels like I am back to being a student as I have to wake up as early as my daughter because I have to bring her to school. I am really regretting transferring her to the early morning class. She was supposed to be in the mid-morning class but we want to train her to wake up early so she will sleep early. I did not realize that it is going to be extra hard for me. You all know how late I sleep. So there are times when I only get 2 hours of sleep. I think it is all worth it though because I can see the change in my daughter’s behavior when it comes to school. My daughter seems to be more friendly now. She seems to like her classmates more. I saw her playing in class and she was really kulit just like how she is at home. She has 8 classmates who are boys and 5 girl classmates. My daughter is still the tallest in class. In fact, she really looks forward to going to school. She does not want to go home sometimes. During the mid-morning class, you will only see them sitting down and not moving around much.
Anyways, things have gotten better with my daughter’s yaya back. So she’s the one who prepares my daughter to school. I also bring her along whenever I bring my daughter to school so I do not have to get out of the car anymore. So I can still wear my airconditioned shirt and nobody will know. Hahahaaa!
Basta things are looking up for us…only a few more days left. Konti nalang! I can do this!
I have just started on a new project and I am quite excited about it. I started late because it was my youngest brother’s birthday yesterday and as usual family members gathered in time for dinner. Although he had a small celebration with his friends from school. My mom who seldom cooks did for my brother. I hope my brother appreciates the effort that my mom did. In fact I ate so much that I feel I need to take extreme weight loss pills especially since there are a couple of occasions that are lined up already for the following dates july 11, 15 and 17. I want to look great in the pictures. Hahaha!
I am so vain. Anyways, Happy 16th Birthday Iggs!
I was so harrassed today. I am so glad to be back home. It started when my daughter did not want to wake up for her 8 am class. Since her yaya has not arrived yet, i do all the preparations in the morning. So anyways, we made it because we arrived around 10 minutes before 8. So she had 5 minutes to ride the swing. I let her because she could not after class because of her Tuesday – Thursday schedule. When I got back to the car, it would not start. I did not know what to do. I was not able to charge my phone and all. Plus, I knew I could not call my husband to help me like before because it’s a new job and all. Who did I call? Who else? My ever reliable parents. I am so glad I can always lean on them when I need help. They are so reliable talaga. My dad arrived 15 minutes later and checked the car. The other daddies there and the school’s security guard surrounded the car and they were telling me that it might be the battery. What the daddies did was they pushed the car so it would start as I was about to call Motolite Delivery. It started and I was able to go home.
As per my husband’s instructions, I should have the batteries checked. So after picking up my daughter from school, I dropped her off again to her after school lessons and looked for Motolite signs so I could have it checked. I was not supposed to have it replaced yet at that minute because I had to get money but I guess the car and the battery decided for me because it would not start again. Good thing I was already at the motolite shop so they could replace it immediately. So I walked to the nearest BDO to withdraw money but it was offline. Just my luck huh! I rode the tricycle and instructed the driver to bring me to the nearest ATM which was Metrobank. That was when my hubby called and I told him about the costs. When I ended the call, this mestiso guy talked to me and said. .. I could not help but overhear…yada yada yada. He was talking to me about cars and I did not know what the hell he was talking about. So I was politely nodding my head all the time that he was talking. Anyways, after I withdrew the money I just waved goodbye to him and hailed another tricycle to bring me back to where the car was. So the battery was replaced, I have free windshield wiping solution thing, etc and the best part of it all, I do not have to worry about batteries for another 2 years.
After that I picked up my daughter, ate lunch, bought cake for my brother Iggy (its his birthday today), bought milk and other things we need at home and went to the gasoline station to buy car fuel since it is already nearing E (for empty). Suffice to say that it is only 2 pm but I am already dead tired.
Time to do the assignment with the daughter. Good thing she only has 7 pages to do today. Who ever said that stay-at-home moms have it easy? They obviously do not know what they are talking about.
After church today, we went to the mall to look for powerpuff girl items to give out on my daughter’s birthday. Guess what? I found some. Yey! I no longer have to go to the Divisoria mall to look for some. Anyways, I figured since my daughter also has boy classmates, they would not appreciate powerpuff girl items right? So we got them superman and other superhero items instead.
I had a harder time with the invitations. There weren’t any at the mall. Since the school only allows simple birthday celebrations, all I needed were printed invitation cards. This is just to inform the parents and the classmates of my daughter regarding the upcoming event. In fact, I have just finished doing them now.
This is the unprinted version of the finished product. Not bad eh? Even I say so myself. Hehehe. In fact, I was feeling a little down earlier because my print artist cd was not working.. so I thought I would not be able to do the invitations. O diba. If there’s a will, there will always be a way.
If I had the print artist, I would have changed blossom’s face with that of my daughter’s. Sayang. Hehehe. Oh well.
My husband has a new job and since it’s new and definitely farther than what we are both used to, we are definitely adjusting to it. He leaves so early in the morning that I am barely awake when he leaves and he arrives late in the evening that my daughter and I have already eaten dinner. My daughter was already complaining to him that she barely sees him now during the weekday. He told me he could leave earlier especially since he can come and go as he pleases. His grade level does not require him to time in and out. O-ha! He is definitely moving up in the world. But since he is new and taking the time to know his people, he barely leaves before 7 pm.
Since it’s new I do not have any idea when it comes to his benefits. I was asking him earlier today whether we are included in his hospitalization benefits because my daughter’s next schedule to her pedia is up and I was wondering if we can have it reimbursed just like before. He would have to check with the HR. This reminds me I have to get free insurance quotes for the car for next year’s insurance.
Anyways, we left late today when we were supposed to leave before lunch because he was checking up on his people. So he has to call them every now and again. Oh well, patience is a virtue anyways.
We goof around during the times when I am not online. So there was a time last week when we took pictures of each other while the lights were off. Here are the pictures taken.

I treasure moments like this. How about you? When was the last time you laughed so hard tears started coming out of your eyes?
Our old cook is back. This cook definitely knows how to cook lomi just the way I like it. You should have tasted last night’s pork chops. It was delicious! It was soo good that it was ok for me not to accept the invitation of my sister. They were having dinner somewhere near here and she called to say that they were there and they were inviting my daughter and myself to join them. I declined because I was watching Boys Over Flowers. Hahahaha! It should have been given the title of Boys Over Flowers Over Food. Lol! I know I am definitely hooked.
Anyways, I know I will be needing to take the best appetite suppressant available or else I will be in big trouble. Either that or I should have some form of exercise. In fact, last night I brought my daughter to the playground at 7 pm so she could run around and play scooter. She should do that every other day.
Check out my daughter during her first day of school as a Kinder student. She has definitely grown over the summer. In fact, there were even strangers who asked me if she is already 7 years old. They were surprised when I told them she is just 4, almost 5.
So here she is before we left for school on her first day. Her schedule is now at 8 am. We are both finding it hard wake up so early in the morning. She wakes up at 7 am while I wake up at 6:30. But we make up for it during our afternoon nap.
Good news! I was able to order cakes and cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday celebration at school. Bad news! My daughter chose a power puff girl design. She likes the old powerpuff girls and not the new version that has a Z on them. So now I have to look for invitations, lootbags and items to put inside the lootbag that has a ppg design on them. I already checked out toys r us and the toy section of galleria itself but all they showed me were a wall design and a big backpack. I am even considering on going to 168 mall. I hate going there. There are just too many people. I already asked my husband if he would go with me. He already declined. I know he hates going there too. If I could not find any ppg items next week. I plan to scour through all the malls in the metro. Then, I would have to go to divisoria next weekend. I do not have a choice. My husband already told me not to follow the ppg theme because of the cake, I am also considering that too. Let’s just see.
Meanwhile, I also have to do some research on mesothelioma for the next round of articles that I have to do. Before I check out the different powerpuff girls designs that are available on the world wide web for the invitation that I have just decided to do. Wish me luck!
