How valuable gold is has been instilled in me (and I guess all of my siblings too) when we were still small.  You see my mom’s dad has a chain of pawnshops in the province and so we know how good an investment gold is.  Like my dad, my grandfather was also a great businessman.  Sadly, he is no longer around as he died early this year.  Anyways, he left his pawnshops (and other businesses) for his daughters and sons to manage.

I know at a young age that there are many kinds of golds.  And how a certain type of gold has more worth than others.  If there is one kind of gold that I haven’t seen yet, it is us gold coins.  I wonder if my grandfather would get himself gold coins from MDC if he is alive today.

Addiction to drugs is one thing that I hope and pray my daughter would not get into when she gets older. I had a cousin who was addicted to drugs.  He had a very troubled youth. His parents had gotten separated when he was young and he was left with our grandfather.  His parents were just there but they could not take care of him. They both have their own families to take care.  Maybe that was the reason why he turned to drugs because he could not turn to anybody else.   When he was little, I remember my parents wanted to adopt him and take care of him like his own. But our grandfather wanted to take care of him himself.  My cousin, Rommel, you see was the first grandson.

Anywas, I know he went thru rehabilitation but he always went back to drugs. I know  he went thru Rapid Detox.   Maybe it’s his friends. Maybe it’s him.  Maybe it’s a habit that he could not get rid of anymore.  Maybe his escape was much better than reality. Anyways, to cut the long story short, he died at a very young age.  He did not reach the age of 30.

My cousin Rommel is actually a lesson for all of us in the family.  I hope that nothing like that will ever happen again to anybody in our family.  And I hope that it won’t happen to your family too. I love to eat at Pancake House. It is because of their smoked golden tinapa! Hay naku. My daughter loves it too. That is why she has her own order and I have my own order of smoked tinapa too. Before, she used to order another dish but she would always eat mine. Until finally, we told her she should order the fish instead of ordering another dish that she does not eat anyways.

I was so absent minded at that time that I paid 1000 and forgot my change! Haha! My change was like 500 plus pesos pa. Good thing the waiter called me. Haller! The bill already includes the service charge devah! Buti nalang honest sila! Hahaha!

Just got back from chatting with the customer service of the delivery company that was supposed to deliver my orders. Haha! Talk about OC.  They say they will deliver the items tomorrow at my doorstep.  Here’s hoping!

Anyways, if there is one thing that I have not tried shopping at, it’s Cable Shopping Network! I sure wanted to as there are items that I have watched them demonstrate over and over again!   I may try it one time to see if the products really work.  It will really put my mind and my heart to rest! I need to check it out. Maybe next week! As soon as I get the items that I have just ordered over the web.

I have said it time and again that education is important. No matter what course you want to take, what is important is you get to finish it. I remember what my friend’s mom told her when she was deciding on what course to take. She told my friend that she should choose wisely as she can never go back on her decision once she was enrolled. If she wanted to take on another course, she should finish the one she had back then and get her diploma first before enrolling in another one. So because she promised her mom she would do just that. She was able to finish with flying colors and she is able to practice her profession. Her mom passed away late last year which is sad. She is the hippest, coolest mom I have ever met.

They told me they could not locate the house. And my items are with them.  Hay naku! I gave them specific instructions already.  They should not call themselves delivery service if they can’t deliver.  Yun lang!

School is important because education is important. That is the lesson that I am teaching my daughter. That is why I love her school because she has assignments everyday and the primary value that they are teaching the students of Kids Tech is discipline when it comes to study habits.

To tell you honestly, I did not have any study habits. I was a crammer. My sisters are all crammers but the excelled in school. I am a crammer but sadly, I did not get the good genes. Haha!

Anyways, I hope that my daughter will be able to carry the study habits that are being instilled in her now up until college or even beyond, when she takes her mba. I hope she does and she will be able to go to a good school that has offers mba. There are schools that specialize in school mba. Although, taking up mba is her decision. I can only request her to finish college. After that, it is up to her.

So we were not able to find baby book.  I know the doctor will scold us for losing it. My daughter has a check up after classes today. And I will fetch her again in less than 15 minutes and then proceed all the way to the doctor.  We will be meeting my husband halfway thru there. Hehehe.

Aside from that, I have not received the goods that I ordered online.  If I will not get it, this can actually stop me from shopping online.  So I am patiently waiting for it…..Harumph!

I have one good news though, my daughter has a yaya already. And she seems to be ok. Let us see if she will last for the whole week.

I will be bringing my daughter tomorrow to her doctor to have her skin checked again! She is being constantly monitored by her doctor. Actually, as I have previously blogged about, I can’t still find her baby book.  I am in so much trouble.  Her doctor wants to be updated with whatever happened to my daughter for the past 6 months.  We have been constantly changing her doctor because we could not find anybody that we liked until now.

I am so excited as the items that I shopped for online will be delivered today.  I just can’t wait. Yipee!! I have looked high and low for those… secret muna ha… I’ll show them to you once I get them. Yehey!!!!

I can’t seem to find my daughter’s baby book. And I need it by thursday.  She has another doctor’s appointment and the doctor needs it to check up on her vaccinations.   I do not know where it is as it is not where I usually place it.  I may have brought it when we went to Singapore because it was advised to always bring a copy of your daughter’s medical records whenever you travel.  So I thought, might as well bring the baby book. And now I lost it.

I know of wives who complain about their husbands who are so addicted when it comes to sports.  You cannot even talk to them when their favorite team is playing on the boob tube.  They are so completely engrossed in the game that either you do not exist or they just don’t hear you.

Just tonight, I already told my husband what I plan to do today and that is, I plan to go to the bank and do what I should have done a long time ago.  My husband was telling me even before that I should open a time deposit account. You know me, aside from a procrastinator, I  have no idea when it comes to my personal finances.  For me, it is enough that I have money in the bank.  You know how small the interests are when it is just a normal account.
