A couple of days before Christmas, we had a taste of Christmas Caroling by the youth ministry of the SNK Christian Fellowship. It was not a surprise because we were advised a day earlier that they would come and sing a couple of Christmas songs to us. So we really waited for them. Haha!
You have to understand that we do not really hear carolers not unless somebody lets you in the gate. Lol! So it is always advised to tell us beforehand. Lol!

I am so engrossed with online surfing and online shopping which reminds me I have to order some herbal products (shampoo, soap, lotion, toothpaste and others) for my daughter. I have been checking out Oscar de la Renta the past few hours and it totally escaped my mind. Anyways, my mom has been bugging me about the herbal products for my daughter. You can only order it online and it will be delivered to your doorstep. My mom said that a friend of hers has a kid who is sickly and changed all the products that the kid has been using to herbal ones. Once the kid started using the products, the sickness was gone too. Now the kid is healthy as a horse. So I am thinking of doing the same thing to my daughter.

A couple of days before SNK’s Christmas Party, the SNK Young Couples Ministry was assigned to put up the Christmas designs for the party. It was hard when you have almost nothing to work with. Good thing, my SIL M and our friend H were talented when it came to things like these. I must say that they work well together.
Check out the very hardworking people working on the Christmas decors. Please note that this was the initial decoration stages. Sadly, I was not able to take pictures of the decorations during the party itself. It was like magic. The whole place was transformed that day.

I have been looking at different exercise gadgets that I can use at home. I have been checking out sale items on exercise bikes and treadmills. The prices of these exercise equipments are not that low so it is important for me to wait until a good discount comes along. Although I know that I do not have long to wait as discounts are always offered especially at the start of the year.

I just noticed right now that this blog has reached it’s 10,000 visitor mark. So I would like to thank all those who took the time to visit this site. Thank you! I will try to update this blog as often as I can.
Basta, Thank you! from the bottom of my hypothalamus.

For stay-at-home moms, the pressure to earn money is also present. Personally speaking, I do not want to ask money from the husband each and every time I would need to buy something. That is why it is always good to think and search for good Home Business Ideas. My dad has taught me that I can be at home and work at the same time. The business that he put up from scratch is always connected to the home. Maybe it was his way of managing his business and his home at the same time. That is why, right from the start, I always knew that there is such a thing as a Home Based Business. And it is possible to earn right from your home, I am a living testament. I have even helped a couple of strangers from all over Asia who asked me how I did it. I took out all their worries and told them about my experience. Hopefully, they were able to make money just like I did.
Sometimes all it takes is to open your mind and think of possibilities. Think out of the box. There is this Plug-In Profit Site called homebusiness.us where it will show you how to make more money. I am currently looking into it as well. All you got to do is enter your email address and your first name and you are on your way to making money. The thing with the site is, you will be able to see and read different testimonials from people who have already made money from it. There is this guy who was even earning up to $10,000/month! Who says recession is here? I don’t think the world wide web is affected by it. Lol! I am sure you have all have your doubts. I do not know if this will help you decide but the plug-in profit site has been in the business since 2002 and their track record has been a good and successful one.

Do you know that I am member of several e-groups? I found that I can be myself with them. It all started when I was preparing for my wedding and I needed help especially when it came to suppliers and so I became a member to one and I found out that it really helps and so I joined many, depending on my needs for the moment. The thing with me is even if I have already surpassed a certain stage, I never let go of an e-group because the new members will learn from my expertise on a certain subject matter. Just like I needed help on certain subject matters. You will find out that people are more than willing to help and you would like to pay it forward yourself.
Anyways, there is a site where you can earn money from forum. Each and every time you participate in forum posting, you have a chance to win in their monthly contest. So you will be able to help or you will be able to get help and get a chance to win some cash that you can use. A little extra cash would not hurt. The thing is they run contests monthly and so you will always have a chance every month. For the month of January, the contest will run from January 4 to 25 and you can have a chance to win $70. Just by posting a comment, a one-line comment, may give you a chance to win $70. If that’s not easy money, I don’t know what is.
So check out this forum contest.

I actually have 4 New Year’s Resolutions for myself. I am keeping it simple so I will be able to comply. Hahaha! Wish me luck.
- Spend less and spend wisely especially since I have already bought everything that I could possibly want for myself and my daughter for the year 2008.
- Save more
- Lose weight!!!
- Take care more of myself which means eat more healthy foods, exercise more, sleep more, etc. I have really abused myself this year ( there were even times when I was no longer sleeping at night just to comply with all the work that was demanded of me, I was eating all this junk food AND I don’t exercise). Thus, the reason for the burn-out (and probably even the skin break-outs) especially during the last quarter of this year.

If there is one thing that I haven’t taken a picture of, it is the gifts that we received for Christmas. I do not really know why I haven’t taken a picture, the camera was right here all the time. Maybe since everything is happening all at once, I was not able to take a picture of it. My daughter is happy with her loot. I am happy as well and it would seem that hubby is happy with his also. So we would like to thank all those people who have cared enough to spend their hard earned money on us. It is not just the gifts but the greetings that I received and the prayers that were said. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Christmas is really the best time of the year. It is when we think more of others than that of ourselves.
With that note, it is time to check out the his and hers Swiss Army watches that hubby and I received this Christmas.

I am so worried for the nanny of my daughter who has taken a 2-day vacation leave to be with some of her relatives that is based here in Manila. The thing is she is from the province and usually when she takes a day off her cousin would get her here and bring her to wherever the rest of them are. But today is different, since she is all by herself. I hope that her cellphone is fully charged and working so if she needs help, like if she gets lost, she will be able to call us or her cousin to fetch her.
Maybe I should have let her borrow my cell phone repeater just until tomorrow just to make sure she is safe. SInce today is New Year’s Eve, she might have a little trouble getting a signal. Everybody is bound to be using their cellphones. With the repeater, she is assured she will have a very strong signal.

My husband has been complaining of foot pains especially in the heel and arch area. I wonder if it is Plantar Fasciitis. I have already told him time and again that he should see a doctor so the doctor will be able to check it properly. Of course, the right treatment will also be administered. For one reason or the other, he does not seem to want to have it checked. He just keeps on rubbing this smelly ointment on the affected area.
Anyways, if the pain persists, I hope I will be able to convince him to go to the doctor.

My youngest nephew, Joaquin or Cai Cai (Skylars, Skies or Sky Cable) celebrated his 1st birthday on December 15. He celebrated at home on that day and celebrated again the following Saturday at Enchanted Kingdom.
The first celebration was quiet because it was only us. Although, I think that was what the family planned in the first place since it was a weekday. Besides the actual celebration will happen that weekend. Anyways, it was a happy day indeed for Skylars as his family is complete. His dad works in Singapore you see.
Happy Birthday Skies!

To be continued…

Do you know that I have many plans for myself? Although looking back this year, 2 or my major plans were to resign from the company where I have worked for 10 years and learn how to drive. Check and check!
It feels good to realize that what you planned to do, you were able to do. So it just goes to show that the future we can decide for ourselves right now. So if you want to be someone who wants to do hair salon jobs, well the time is right now to do something about it. So by the time 2009 will end, you will be able to be amazed (just like I am), that dreams really do come true.
If you have the necessary education and training to get a job as a hair stylist OR if you are looking for qualified personnel for your salon, check out beautyjobs.com.

I just could not stop playing Guitar Hero On Tour. This particular Guitar Hero is made for the NDS Lite. It is so addicting even my daughter plays with it. This will probably keep us preoccupied for the coming weeks.
You can always count on my mom to know what’s new on gadgets and gaming consoles. We were never deprived of things to play even when we were kids. We always have whatever is released in the market. Of course, she defends this by saying we were not allowed to go out and she needed things to help us pass the time especially during summer time.

My mom and I was able to talk last night and she told me about her worries for next year. Since most of their customers are from the USA, she still does not know how the global economic crisis will affect the family business next year. So far, my dad and my mom are still waiting how it would affect the business. Although this family business have survived all kinds of crisis from Marcos regime to all other kinds of regime and it still survived and thrived. So I am not really worried.
Anyways, maybe it is time to think of a cheap auto insurance to cut down on expenses, not only for them but for us too.

Do you know that I am thinking of taking up dress making? Hahahahaha! I am so jealous of my sister who makes creative outfits, tops, bottoms and even costumes for her son and for herself. She can copy those outfits you see at the mall and the beautiful tops that you see at fashion magazines. I am actually looking for a nice sewing machine but my husband told me that I should learn sewing first. I am not really artistic and I used to hate home economics but I really love clothes. So maybe my love for clothes will change who I am artistically.
To illustrate how great my sister is when it comes to her “creations”. Let me present to you Chicken Little. She was the one who made this costume from head to foot and this is her first attempt at costume making. Galing!!!!

If only I am that creative. Do you know that she is a licensed Engineer and a graduate of UP Diliman? She was also a PSHS graduate and she tells me she uses geometry whenever she makes the patterns. Hahaha! It is no wonder everything is so precise.
