For the past two weekends, we have been singing our hearts out using my family’s magic sing and I am sure we will be using it until the end of the month. My hubby’s family has a birthday celebrant for almost every weekend of this month. We celebrated Micki’s birthday last weekend and then we celebrated Nicole’s birthday yesterday and my hubby’s sister, Ayeng will celebrate her birthday next weekend and it does not end there as Mavic’s husband will celebrate his birthday at the end of the month. Our family will also have our own share of celebrations as my dad and my youngest sister Bex will celebrate their birthdays on the 10th. I think it will be a triple celebration as my brother will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. Hopefully! Yey!
This weekend snapshot was taken last weekend during Micki’s birthday. I just love this picture as it clearly showed how my daughter and her tita enjoyed singing together.

Please pray for my brother. I thought all is well when my sister told me that the fever was gone. Now, his platelet count is down to 119. It was 200++ the other day. He is scheduled for blood transfusion today. Please! please! pray for my brother!
Lord, please protect my brother from harm.

My daughter was invited to trick or treat at my sister’s office. She went as a Monster Bride. One of my sister B’s officemates asked my daughter what happened to her. He thought that the blood was real. I could not believe that what I did on her face was THAT realistic. Hehehe. I drew scars on her face and placed red make-up around it to make it look like blood.
This is my sister B and my daughter. I grabbed this from my sister’s FB pictures. Hehehe. They look like each other noh?

Anyways, she was shy at first but eventually warmed up as she made chika chika with my sister’s officemates. The officemates said that she was in character with her costume because she did not smile much. But when she removed her veil she was laughing with the rest of them. She felt right at home. She even told me that when she grows up she wants to work where her tita B works. She thinks they are so cool. I think so too. They spend the day just chatting with each other and FBing. Hehehe. I guess that is how they are. They are all so young. Even the president of the company is young. My sister told me that they thought my daughter was already in Grade 3. Hehehe. That is how tall she is. FYI, she is only in pre-school, Kinder level.
This is my daughter with the president’s kids.

…. and this is what she went home with, a bag full of goodies.

To follow, trick or treating at Golf Hills.

This week has flown by so fast, I can barely catch my breath. I have lots of things to blog about but I have been busy with other stuff…. Anyways, just want to say that my brother, JR, is in the hospital. He was admitted today. He has dengue. I will probably go there tomorrow morning. Text me (or Mama or Che Che) if you want to know the room number.

Yesterday, my daughter attended two halloween parties. One was at the office of my sister B and the other one at my sister’s condo unit. Since she had many choices this year when it came to Halloween costumes, she wore different costumes for each occasion.
For my sister B’s Halloween Trick or Treat thing, she was a Monster Bride.
For my other sister’s Halloween Trick Or Treat at Golf Hills, she was a Witch. Although, I no longer made her wear the hat because I had a hard time putting it on her. Her ate Julia was a pop star while Kuya Eli was Mickey Mouse. Eli had a Mickey Mouse white glove, a mickey mouse mask, an adventure Mickey Mouse Hat and his self-made binoculars. I think his costume was inspired by Playhouse Disney. Sayang nga eh kasi he kept on taking it off that I was not able to take a picture.
To follow nalang yung kwento about each one. Manonood muna ko ng Gossip Girl. Hehehe. Basta yesterday she had so much fun which made it all worthwhile.
Happy Halloween! Stay safe! Although PAG-ASA said that the worst was over. So I guess you can still continue with whatever you have planned for the day.

I did not go out today. Hubby brought my daughter to school and to her after school classes today. He did not go to work because he brought the car to the auto repair shop for a tune-up. It was already long overdue anyways. When they got back imagine my surprise when my daughter told me that she no longer has classes for the remainder of the week and she will come back on November 4. The school will be undergoing through major renovation because of the damage brought about by the typhoon. So the semestral break will be earlier than what was already rescheduled. So yeah, my daughter and I will be inseparable for the remainder of the week until next week.
Woot! Woot!

Just like I said in my previous post, I am looking forward to the time when the whole family gets together for some outdoor fun. I am not much of an outdoor person and I would rather spend time indoors but ever since I became a mommy, I know my daughter needs it. She needs to run around and see nature and all its glory. I hope someday soon we will be able to go camping. Of course, just like any other event, I have to be prepared. So I am already looking for equipment that will be most useful to us such as the Char Cloth, Fire Steel, Tent Poles, Fire Piston, Camping, Backing, Hiking, Outdoor Adventure Gear. The site moutainfitter.com has all these and more. I love the site because even if I am not an outdoor person myself, I can buy the things that will be most useful during our trip based on its category. I can choose from health and safety category, survival category, sleeping and shelter category and so many others. Each category has all the gadgets/equipments related to that so you will not leave anything out.
I know that we will be able to enjoy the outdoors to its maximum level if we come prepared. We would not want our daughter’s first time camping trip to be a traumatic one. The only way we can do that is to have the right attitude and the right equipment.

Garbage, that is what was left after the flood. They say that the amount of garbage after the typhoon was equal to one month of waste. I saw numerous hills of garbage and mud mixed together. Plus, the smell was and still is really nasty. I know our local government is doing everything in their power to fix and clean everything. I know that they have been working non-stop ever since this tragedy has happened. Kudos to them for doing a good job. But maybe if they have Waste Management Software, it will be easier on them. It has mapping, mapping GIS, GPS Truck Tracking capabilities. In fact, the software will be able to streamline the waste operations. I am just not sure on whether our local government is still doing it manually but if they are can you just imagine how fast everything is going to be especially with the use of the software? Every corner is going to be squeaky clean in no time at all. Plus, we will never have any trouble with garbage pick-up and disposal ever again.
Although we should not only depend on them to help us. We should also help them by segregating our trash and recycling. Actually, everybody should be informed on what it takes to manage waste.
