With The President

The president of the company talked to me after the company’s Christmas party. He told me that he was sad when he learned that I was leaving the company. He asked me my reasons and I told him that I want to take care of my daughter. He doesn’t believe me. He even asked my husband if that’s the truth. He said that he wants to reward employees who stayed thru the hard times. Now that things are looking up for the company, he wants to reward those who stayed and I am leaving. He asked me about things that I will do and also about other things. He even told me that he will miss me. I never realized that I was that important to the company. I didn’t realize that I somehow made a difference. It made me happy. I’m glad I had a chance to know that, at the same time, it made me nostalgic. It’s really hard to leave something that has been with you for 10 years.
