Armed Men Inside Marquinton!

You know how I am always at Starbucks Marquinton between 11:30 am – 2 pm. Today, I decided to leave earlier, 30 minutes earlier, and resolved to wait outside my daughter’s school. Usually, cheska is the first one who leaves the school because the guard knows me as well as her teachers and teacher aid, as I am always the one who brings her to and from school. So imagine my surprise when the guard did not bring my daughter asap to me and I had to go out of the car to fetch her and was surprised again that the teachers did not call Francesca asap. So I had to wait for a couple of minutes and my daughter was one of the last ones to leave which is fine by me but I did not allow her anymore to play in the playground.

So when we were in the car, my daughter said, Ma, eat tayo sa jollibee. This is fine by me again since there is Jollibee at Marquinton and I can very well park at Marquinton. Plus, my mom wanted jollibee as well as she told my daughter before she left for school. While I was looking for a parking spot, I noticed that there were people runnng outside the building. It did not bother me at all as I was preoccupied with perfecting my parking. Anyhoo, there were some weird things happening all around us that finally I listened to my instinct and asked the lady guard that was outside the building… what is happening? Cheska and I were about to go in ha.

The guard said there were some armored men with head masks( which covered the whole face) wearing army uniform who ordered the people (including guards of the small mall) to lie face flat on the floor. My gosh! One of the guys who was there even said to me.. ako nga eh pinahiga din! Apparently it happened in the vicinity of starbucks and somewhere in the middle. I did not listen anymore to the details as I wanted to get my daughter to safety right away.

So cheska and I ran back to the car and decided to go home. We did not wait around to know what else happened. It was a matter of minutes. I was just there a few minutes earlier and I do not want to risk staying there (WITH MY DAUGHTER)! That was the time when I noticed that there were lots of police and still many more that were coming and starbucks had the “we are closed” sign on the door.

I still got Jollibee though via drive thru. Lol!

Hay naku.. no more malling this week, no more starbucks for a while. This is just too scary to even contemplate.. I do not know why there were there… ni wala ngang bank don. So school – house- school-house muna kami ni cheska.

So everybody please be careful….. my husband says malapit na kasi ang elections… kaya rampant na naman ang hold-ups, kidnappings, bank robberies and kung ano ano pa!
