My First Blood Donation

I survived my very first blood donation.  Maybe it was my fear of needles that made it more painful than it should have.  Plus, I was really squeamish.  I could barely hold on to the stress ball that the med technician told me to squeeze.  Anyways, I survived and I know I will be doing more of it once I am able.

I even took pictures of my arm and my blood bag.  I am so proud of myself.

  1. I still hate needles even until after I underwent my first blood donation. And I still donate every year. I just constantly remind myself that a couple of minutes in contact with the needle can save a life. It’s my driving force.

It’s a brave move and you’ve taken the first step. Congratulations!
