Last night, I was thinking about the fund raising project of the SNK Group and how it should be at a roll now. We plan to raise funds for a scholarship for one (or two) of the children of the Botbot tribe. I do not know what else but one of the projects proposed were to raise funds for the music ministry as well. They really need to change some of the instruments used. Last year, the aim was to raise funds for a computer so the church will have one that they can use. The year before that, the aim was to buy a projector. I remember a lot of projector reviews came in. But in the end, they chose the best projector that the money raised can afford. I will take a picture of it once I am able to. It is so portable that they were able to use it for the youth concert that happened last year. It is small, convenient and efficient as it was able to show clear pictures and videos during the concert. The pocket projector was connected to a laptop at that time. I heard that it can be connected to a cell phone, gaming device, camcorder and others.

The 25th anniversary of the church we are presently going to is just around the corner. In fact, it was announced that there will be a red carpet and everything at the party so everybody is required to wear formal attire. The women are not allowed to wear pants and the men are not allowed to jeans and rubber shoes. It was not clear whether or not the girls will have to wear formal gowns or if the men would have to wear tuxedos. But wouldn’t they all look good if that would happen especially if the venue will be at a hotel? I am thinking of whether I should attend or not because I do not want to spend on something that I will wear only once. I will have to buy a formal maternity dress and we all know how a nice formal attire costs even if my husband will pay for it. My husband is quite excited as he already told me what he plans to wear. Even if I will not attend, I will not stop them from attending. It is a good chance for them (my daughter and my husband) to mingle with other people and it is also a chance for me to just be with myself (before I give birth) and enjoy the peace and quiet even for a few hours. We all know how exciting and exhausting a new baby is.

I didn’t go with my siblings to Tagaytay today because my husband could not come with us because he has to go to the office. Anyways, I would not be able to accompany my daughter horseback riding anyways and all the other activities that they will do so I think it is better for us if we do not come with them. I hope my daughter understands that we have to take care of the little baby that is inside me first. I think that this is a great learning experience for us especially for her, now that she is already a big sister. Can this be our big sacrifice for the Lenten season? Hehehe!

Anyways, I was able to upload the compilation of the videos that I took last Sunday. I think that something is seriously wrong with youtube as I have made several attempts uploading it for the past two days there but only to find out later on that an error occurred. Good thing, there are other sites that you can also use. If you want to see, just watch it below.

It’s going to be a busy weekend for us. This time the things that we will be doing are not really for us but for others. My husband will be attending practices Saturday and Sunday because he is the chosen speaker for this Sunday’s service. So he has to choose and rehearse the songs for praise and worship. Plus, he also has to practice for the dance thing for the youth concert that will be happening this month. Can you believe it? Lol! If you want to watch, I have tickets. It only costs 30 pesos each and it is for a noble cause. All of the money that the youth ministry will be getting will fund this outreach program that the church is planning to have this summer. They plan to visit and spread the Good News to one of the tribes that exists in the mountains near Baguio. I can’t seem to recall now the exact name of the tribe where they will be going.

As for me, I will be looking for wedding favors for a friend. She asked me if I could help her out since she is clueless when it comes to things like these. Since my husband is going to be busy I do not think he will mind that I will be keeping myself busy too. While we are at it, I am hoping I will be able to find a fetal doppler device. I haven’t found one yet and I am still quite hesitant to order one online. I want to check the device out first before I buy it. I want to see if it really works.

Sayang coz we lost by one point. Oh well… what we did, we did for the Lord anyways and He definitely knows how hard we worked for it and how hard we tried to attend the practices even with everything that was going on in all our lives. I know that we are number one at least in His book.

I just love our group because we always give it our all. We never do it JUST for the sake of doing it. That’s why our glasses are always full and never empty. I am so proud of all of us.

For the past few weekends, I have been part of the praise and worship team of the SNK Christian Church. Ever since I was young, it was already instilled in me by the sisters at St. Paul that singing is a form of prayer so when you sing for the Lord, you are actually praying to him. So when you are at a loss for words, why not sing to Him? The flow of emotions and all the things that you want to say to the Lord will come.

Anyways, the practice is usually scheduled every Saturday afternoon and sometimes it extends until 8 in the evening. So yes, we have given up going to the mall during Saturdays. We have given up our mall day. My daughter does not seem to mind as she loves to practice with me. I am so proud of her. You should see her sing and dance! Kudos to the praise and worship team for serving as an inspiration to me. They do not even seem to get tired. Maybe one time I will be able to take a picture of all of them, what I have now is a picture of stainless steel drums in the background with my daughter and some of the music ministry members during break time.

I am glad to say that as of today, my daughter was able to sell 4 raffle ticket booklets. Each booklet costs P200.oo because it is composed of 10 raffle tickets which costs P20 each. So good job ches! You should see her selling those tickets, she does not take no for an answer. I think she will be a great businesswoman someday. Although, on friday she will be a doctor slash movie star during her speak-a-minute activity and the theme is “What I want to become when I grow up” day. She tells me she wants to become an eye doctor! I think it was because she saw me checking out the iLASIK procedure over the world wide web. Hehehe! Anyways, I was able to speak to a seamstress who agreed to make my daughter’s costume even if she only has like 2 nights to work on it since she has a day job. So I will be picking it up tomorrow after my daughter’s Kumon classes.

Anyways, the reason why I am checking out iLASIK is because I always get migraines. Like last night, I slept with a headache and woke up with one today. I think it is attributed to my eyes. Frequent migraine bouts because I spend too much time in front of a monitor can be the reason for it. Anyways, if things get worse, I will probably get laser eye surgery as I am already checking out Laser Eye Surgery Boston as what my friend is already doing because she wants to have 20/20 vision. It is safe and painless and you are assured that you will be getting exactly what you are hoping and paying for.

I hope she will be able to sell more. Hubby and I were tasked to sell at least 10 booklets for this upcoming raffle for a laptop or a desktop for the SNK Christian Church. It is for a good cause after all. Plus the prizes are really great especially for the people who were victimized by Typhoon Ondoy. I think there is a ref somewhere in the major prizes, tv, etc.

Barely had 4 hours of sleep for the night but I am still good and raring to go! We spent the whole night attending an overnight prayer meeting. The experience was incredible! I did not know that a prayer meeting was so much fun because it was incorporated with games and sharing and singing! And we did not only pray for ourselves but for the whole nation. I am glad my daughter went with us. It did not only expose her to the value of prayer and the power of faith but it also exposed her how to be socially relevant and socially conscious of the people surrounding us and the nation that we are in. I know she will not led be astray because she will be guided well.

Anyways, because of the experience I feel I have so much energy that I will do the unthinkable, I will back-up all my files. I have lots you see! People who see my desktop always comment on how cluttered and how full it is. I usually save my files on my desktop so I can easily see them. But the problem is, it is so full now that even if I save them on my desktop, I can no longer see them. So I am currently looking for a free online backup. Actually, I already got the services of a paid one for my pictures and I do not think I will be able to afford another one just for my files. Hehehe. Christmas is coming and I got to save! I have lots of people to give gifts to you know.
