I bought myself a couple of eco bags to use when I am shopping. I have resolved not to use any plastic bags as much as possible because they are not biodegradable and they are doing more harm than good to the environment. One of the reasons why it is so easy to flood our streets is because of the plastic bags that have obstructed the drainage system.

Aside from the eco bags, I am also considering green shopping which my friend has already been doing for the past few months. There is no need to go out of the house when you want to shop because you can do it right at home. So you are contributing greatly to lessening global warming by not using your car and staying right where you are.

It is time to be proactive when it comes to taking care of the environment. Let us be part of the solution instead of the problem.

Raffle Tickets For A Good Cause

It is just a couple of days away before Christmas and just like last year, our group, the YC ministry is selling raffle tickets for a good cause. The proceeds of the raffle will be used to buy the SNK Christian church a laptop. Last year the proceeds were used to buy a projector and since the church does not have any desktop or laptop to use with the projector, it was only right that the next project will be for a laptop.

Last week, I was asked if I could buy the 10 consolation prizes for the raffle. I brought along my sil Mavic, so she can help out with the shopping. The consolation prizes are bags of grocery items. After grocery shopping, we went straight to our friend Hazel’s house so we can wrap them up.

Anyways, we know that because of the calamities that have struck most of us, the turn out of the sale of the raffle tickets may not be as great as last year. Just in case, maybe we should consider buying a refurbished laptop instead of a new one, especially if we will not reach the expected turn-out. It will still serve the same purpose.

If anybody out there is interested in purchasing a ticket (or two), give me a holler and I will sell them to you. It only costs P20.00 per ticket.

Every Filipino should watch this so we know who we should vote for (or not vote for). Since I stumbled upon this video, I feel I am obligated to pass it on so people will know. Each one of us should pass it on in whatever form we are comfortable with.

Mikey Arroyo really looked uncomfortable and I suppose he was wishing for the grounds to open up and swallow him whole which was very apt and very funny. He was literally squirming in his seat!

I was actually laughing while I was watching this video.

Happy Earth Day People! Do good to earth today. Turn off something for an hour or pick up trash when you see one, recycle. Just do something for our planet.

So anyways, I heard starbucks is giving away discounted coffee when you bring your own starbucks tumbler because its Earth Day. Kudos to them! So walk on over at starbucks and get your fill.

The reason why I love blogging so much is because everybody has a voice. It evens things out in the playing field. So when a politician, a media person or a “fashion designer” mistreats or maligns another person (an average joe). That person (or people who own blogs) can do something about it. They can blog about it and let the truth come out. There is strength in numbers. You see it would seem that Pinoys have become apathetic to certain events and issues… apparently, the blogging community is not apathetic at all.

I just hope that Boyet Fajardo gets what he deserves. He does not have any right to do that to any other person. I hope you learn your lesson.

My First Blood Donation

I survived my very first blood donation. Maybe it was my fear of needles that made it more painful than it should have. Plus, I was really squeamish. I could barely hold on to the stress ball that the med technician told me to squeeze. Anyways, I survived and I know I will be doing more of it once I am able.

I even took pictures of my arm and my blood bag. I am so proud of myself.

My Very Busy Sunday

Spent the whole day out of the house. I am so glad I was able to finish 3 articles on erp yesterday. I finished it because I figured I should spend the whole day today without my laptop in tow. So it was me, my daughter and my husband spending the day together. Of course, my husband had to do something at the new church as the young couples ministry committed to fixing the kids’ sunday school room at the new church. I am not so good at manual labor so I volunteered to give rubber mats instead. Hehe! Oooh and let’s not discount the fact that I peeled bananas for the bananacue that my sil made. Hehehe. So that should count for something right?

Afterwards we went to the mall to complain about the air cooler that we got 2 months ago…. and then went straight to my sil’s house because my daughter wanted to eat there. She says that her tita’s cooking is yummy. Haha!

So good night everyone as I will spend more time with them tonight as tomorrow is the start of another week.

Remembering San Francisco

I have been in San Francisco once, back in year 2002. What can I say? It is a beautiful place, one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S.A. But back then we only stayed for one day and were not able to stay the night. I can barely recall the reason why I was left behind in California. That time I knew we fetched our parents and our other relatives there. I was with my aunt and uncle that time when we traveled from Cali to San Fro. It was a long ride but a very beautiful one. When we got there we toured for one whole day.

Anyways, we have no problems with places to stay in San Fro because we have lots of relatives there. But if we did not have any relatives there, there are lots of San Francisco Hotels that I can stay in. Choosing one that will suit your budget is no problem with easytobook.com.
