Weekend Snapshot: Double Lines

Guess what greeted me this morning? I took a home PT and got two lines. It was not like before when the other line was faint, I already know what that means. The lines were strong and distinct, a good sign that everything is alright inside.

After the Sunday Service, we went to my ob-gyne. My ob is also a sonologist so she was the one gave me the trans v ultrasound. She did not give me the news that I expected to hear. She told me that it was still too early to detect. TO tell you honestly, my husband and I are still traumatized by the failed pregnancies so it was like a dream that was turning into a nightmare. We could not believe it. She gave me another PT and I was so nervous. I felt like I was losing my mind. Good thing, the PT gave me two distinct lines again.

Anyways, it clearly showed my doctor how pregnant I am and she scheduled me for another ultrasound next week. She told me it looks like the baby is still in his or her fourth week, so it can barely be seen by the ultrasound.

So yeah I will probably take another home PT before the next ultrasound (or every other day just for my peace of mind). You can say that this will occupy my mind for the next days (and even for the next nine months), the different careers that I have been considering will have to take a back seat for awhile.

If you have the time, can you include me in your prayers and the baby that is inside me? Thank you.

This is the winning team, at least in my heart! Hahaha! Go YC! We have given it our all and it showed by how well we did our performance. Sayang coz we lost by one point. Oh well… what we did, we did for the Lord anyways and He definitely knows how hard we worked for it and how hard we tried to attend the practices even with everything that was going on in all our lives. I know that we are number one at least in His book.

I just love our group because we always give it our all. We never do it JUST for the sake of doing it. That’s why our glasses are always full and never empty. I am so proud of all of us.

Today was career day at school. As of this moment, my daughter wants to become a doctor and a movie star at the same time. I told her it is possible especially if she sets her mind on becoming a doctor first. So instead of having a scrub suit made for her, I ordered a white doctor’s coat instead and let her wear something fashionable underneath to represent the movie star career that she also wants to have someday. She also wore her headband that has feathers on the side. Very carrie of satc much? Hahaha! The teachers loved her skirt and her headband!

Weekend Snapshot: Magic Sing

For the past two weekends, we have been singing our hearts out using my family’s magic sing and I am sure we will be using it until the end of the month. My hubby’s family has a birthday celebrant for almost every weekend of this month. We celebrated Micki’s birthday last weekend and then we celebrated Nicole’s birthday yesterday and my hubby’s sister, Ayeng will celebrate her birthday next weekend and it does not end there as Mavic’s husband will celebrate his birthday at the end of the month. Our family will also have our own share of celebrations as my dad and my youngest sister Bex will celebrate their birthdays on the 10th. I think it will be a triple celebration as my brother will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. Hopefully! Yey!

This weekend snapshot was taken last weekend during Micki’s birthday. I just love this picture as it clearly showed how my daughter and her tita enjoyed singing together.

Weekend Snapshots: Disastrous Ondoy

The past few days were horrible and not to mention traumatic. Typhoon Ondoy passed by our country last Saturday as I previously blogged about. But what you did not know was that the water level rose so fast that we only saved what we could at that time. Let me just share with you a few pictures that were taken by my husband.

At this time, it was (I think ) around 2 pm when we were at the eye of the storm that is why there weren’t any rains. I thought that was the end of it. But it became worse after that and the water kept on rising.

The good news is that we are all safe and well and we are all trying to make our days (and nights) as normal as possible. Although, I know it will take us years to put this all behind us (financially, mentally, psychologically). My daughter is now terrified of the rain. I am terrified of it too. I am also getting depressed day by day. Having gone through it and seeing people who were not as lucky. They have lost their friends and family as well as all their material possessions. I could not help but get depressed.

We still do not have any working phone lines. PLDT said that it will take AT LEAST a week but I am not complaining as we are one of the lucky few who have internet connection.

Weekend Snapshot : Close Encounter With A Jaguar

Well, we went to the Zoo (Avilon Zoo) today and I touched a jaguar. He was sleeping and he was near me that I could not resist touching his fur. This is a picture of me touching it.

My daughter and my husband had so much fun. They are so into animals these days that a trip to the Zoo was inevitable. Although the roads are really rough, I will not recommend going there during the rainy season. Actually my husband wanted to leave when the sky was darkening at 2 pm. He did not want to get caught in the rain. I agreed with him. NO way! The term rough road is an understatement! Imagine going to the province back in the ’80s. That is how horrible it is. The local government should do something about it because it is a tourist attraction.

I wonder where will go next. My daughter wants to go to Zoobic next because she wants to feed the tigers. Hopefully, my husband will not be too busy to bring us. Hehehe.

Hi! I am back and well.

Last weekend, I was able to buy myself a pair of black pumps. I have been looking for comfortable black pumps for a couple of months already. Actually, to be honest I was saving up for a pair of this gorgeous black pumps but when I came back for it, it was already sold out. I totally regretted not buying it when I saw it.

Good thing Crocs released Crocs Lily in the Philippines a couple of days before I bought it so that was around 2 weeks ago. When I saw it, I knew I got to have a pair. Now, that’s all I wear. Of course, I got the black Crocs Lily. If you are curious as to what other colors are available: there are 3 ( gold/chocolate, espresso/plum and black).

I also got free Ponds. Hehehe. For every pair that you buy, they will give you a gift pack. I do not know what products are included. I haven’t checked it out yet.

Weekend Snapshot: Trip To The Dentist

My daughter had her bi-annual visit to the dentist. We had her teeth checked, cleaned and there were a couple of teeth that needed filling. The second trip to the dentist is already scheduled because the dentist needs to do the other two. She had two teeth done today. It is no wonder this is so, she still drinks milk at night before she goes to sleep. She loves to eat candy and chocolates. So I was not really surprised.

After that, we can go to the dentist every after 6 months just so he can check whether her upper front teeth are already coming out and for cleaning of course.

This picture was sent to me via SMS by my sister. This was before they left for Singapore last Friday. Look at my nephew, he looked so happy. I bet he can’t wait until he sees his dad again. I know they are having a great time over there. I must say that I miss the little boy who loves my daughter so much. I miss you cai! Ate E-ya misses you too.
